Welcome to the shelter portal for the Maryland 3000

In this portal you will find the adoption tracking document, participation rules and expectations, tips for a successful event and resources for media and social media promotion.

Shelter Expectations

Participating Shelters are asked to do the following:

  • Waive adoption fees for all available dogs and cats during the promotion.

  • Report adoption numbers to assigned contact weekly during the promotion month.

  • Promote the event through social media, website, print, TV or any way feasible for the shelter. Check out this year’s Marketing Kit

  • Media interviews: If you secure any media interviews, please send updates to Noelle Patterson (npatterson@BARCS.org). We’d like to know for tracking purposes.

  • Reporting Numbers: On this page you will also find the link to an online form to report numbers weekly. Enter your weekly adoption numbers under the corresponding date along the top row. We are asking every group to report their weekly numbers by Friday(s) at noon. Please check the form to ensure that we have spelled your organization’s name correctly.
